This comfortable house is only rented as a single property but is ideally laid out for two families to use the property with some degree of autonomy. The guest accommodations are on the ground floor and first floor. Whether only for four people on the first floor, or with an extra two guests on the ground floor, the two floors are independent of each other but rented out in their entirety for one price.
Hidden away at the end of a recently paved, traffic-free, private road, the house nestles in superlative countryside atmosphere. Its garden and pool area mirror the rural beauty all around with an expansive lawn and large pool.
The apartment on the first floor (1 set of outside stairs) has an open-plan sitting/dining room, open plan kitchen equipped with cook top, oven and fridge/freezer, 1 spacious double bedroom, 1 smaller twin bedded room and one large bathroom.
The apartment on the ground floor has double doors into a spacious, beamed, dining room with big open fireplace and double sofa-bed. An archway leads into the kitchen equipped with gas cook top, electric oven and fridge/freezer, bathroom with shower and washing machine.
The Renaissance town of Castiglion Fiorentino (necessary shops) 5 km away and is an impressive sight when approached from any direction. Higher than the Valdichiana plain that it dominates, the town has atmospheric bars on piazzas, open-air restaurants and the old Gothic church of San Francesco and the Madonna della Consolazione temple are worth a visit. Nearby Cortona is another town that seemingly floats high above the Valdichiana plain - literally a jewel of a hill town - without accompanying hordes of tourists.
